Flood emergency in Emilia Romagna
We actively participated in the clearing of debris caused by the exceptional wave of bad weather that hit Emilia Romagna on 16 and 17 May 2023.
Costa Concordia wreck removal
Vecchi Zironi has carried out, in about three years, the removal of the Costa Concordia shipwreck, by transporting 100 tons of waste of all kinds in approximately three thousand trips.
The works started in July 2014 and were divided into three phases. The first phase, which lasted until March 2015, involved the lightening of the hull. During this phase have also started the recovery and disposal of the curtains, wood and carpeting of the cabins, followed by the operations of guiding the wreck to the dock and finally the actual dismantling phase of the hull.
Partnership Vecchi Zironi - Germani
At the end of 2020, the Vecchi and Zironi families and Germani Trasporti, a company based in Brescia, leader on the national and international market of the transport of chemicals, industrial waste and cryogenic gases by road, signed a long-term strategic partnership.
The goal of this partnership is to accelerate the execution of the Vecchi Zironi’s “Green Project” by placing environmental sustainability at the center of all the conducted activities, making use of the expertise of Germani Trasporti, which enjoys high recognition and a strong reputation in the field.
